In partnership with Method Man, TICAL™ and Test Site Projects are proud to present Crowdwalker (2023) by Los Angeles-based artist Scott Hassell, a visual celebration of hip-hop legend Method Man.
While TICAL (Taking Into Consideration All Lives), became coined as a cannabis term in 1993, TICAL has transcended its origins to become deeply embedded in the fabric of both hip-hop and cannabis cultures, representing a movement, a lifestyle, and an unparalleled swagger. TICAL is an emblem of the visionary behind it all and embodies the fusion of cannabis culture, hip-hop, and artistic expression. As Method Man himself famously declared, “Roll it, light it, smoke it.”
With over 17 years of professional experience as an illustrator specializing in storyboards, previsualization, and rotoscope animation, Scott Hassell is known for his illustration and animation work on Adult Swim’s Dream Corp LLC (2015-2020). Hassell currently works with Modern Logic, an LA-based creative studio to help realize recent VFX and animation projects for Ice Cube, Nike, Bored Ape Yacht Club, FX Networks, Converse, and Superfrog Productions.
Working together with Test Site Projects, Hassell created Crowdwalker (2023), a visually complex orchestra of detail, color and form that captures the essence of Method Man, paying tribute to one of Hip-Hops most influential figures.
